The hotel is just 8 to 10 minutes away frm the Zocalo. It is very clean and the hotel staff are very helpful. It was the only hotel where all staff spoke English. The went out of their way to help me book two excursions. Besides offering free wifi they also have a computer which you can use for free. Breakfast was healthy. Recommended hotel.
The open kitchen can be used until 8 at night, which saves money as you don't have to eat out much.
The whole experience was wonderful. We would return. The shared kitchen was great and we liked the central location to the ruins around Yucatan.
The hotel is downtown, so can have traffic noise. I would recommend a room in the back.
You are made to feel very welcome straight away. The staff are very helpful and despite our room being at the top of the hotel, our bags were swept away to our room without us lifting a finger. Its a very relaxed place to spend a few hours each day on the roof terrace, reading and drinking a beer after enjoyng a day in the town or on a trip that the reception staff can help you organise. We would go back there on a return to Mexico.
The staff was extremely helpful and very pleasant. Well furnished rooms.
The room was next to a main road; was quite noisy during morning rush hours. The breakfast was too limited (only coffee, bread, butter and jam).
The staff was very helpful, arranging tours, helping with the free wi-fi that wasn't working for me, and calling to check on a tour that didn't pick me up.
It is in the historical center, but a long 6 blocks or more to the plaza.
stayed only two nights, one full day in Merida, but location is good for access to the city.
I don't know if I would call the room 'deluxe' because the bed was not very comfortable (you can feel the springsin the mattress) but the room was otherwise nice. Also, the lobby computer was broken, so though wi-fi was available we did not have a laptop and could not use it. It would have been nice to have that access to internet without lugging a laptop. But the price was so very reasonable and if you were staying longer than we did it isnice to have a spot to prepare meals for budgetary reasons!
Layout of the room.
Only hotel that did not provide bottled water in the room. Had to purchase from reception.
quiet area of town near major attraction of Merdia. Plenty of street parking near hotel. Friendly staff.
Charged higher rate for using credit card rather than cash payment. This was to owner's way of passing on Visa/MC fee to customer. This should have been explained in review of hotel.
Hotels look is great with cheerful colors and design. Breakfast is in the yard under open sky and rooms are comfortable and cozy. I really got the feeling that I’m in the middle of ancient Mayan city.
courtesy of staff, good tips for the city!
It is very attractively decorated with Mexican ceramic sinks in every bathroom and colourful tiling on furnishings in the lobby. It provides a Continental style breakfast and offers its kitchen to guests who wish to store or make snacks or meals.
Nice setting, friendly staff, lots of parking space around, PC with internet in the lobby, a very friendly place to stay.
10-15 mins. walk from city center, breakfast buffet not very impressive.
We highly recommend this small hotel. Jim, the owner, was gracious and helpful as was the excellent 24 hour staff. Spotless, comfortable rooms, and baths. Excellent value for the amenities. We will definitely book again for our next trip to Merida.
Nice clean hotel with charm. Room also clean but small. AC works great! Had a TV but I never used it. About 10 minute walk to the central plaza. Staff is friendly and tried to be helpful. Free breakfast which is great when you need it. Definitely a step above any hostel.
Kind of far to walk from the bus terminal but anything by the central plaza will be the same.
